MY WINEMAKING STORY

The loamy sand soil in our southern Top Bench vineyard is mean. It drains very well and stresses the vines to drive their roots deep to find water and nutrients. They struggle but struggles breed character, and the minerality, fresh acidity and bright citrus in this wine are its direct result.
I like to craft Shiraz to bring out rich fruit and peppery notes from the fruit in our Southern vineyards, balances with good acidity that can stand up to a hearty steak or lamb.
